Responsibilities:
- Conduct therapy sessions using evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, solution-focused, narrative, emotion focused therapy, family systems, and the like
- Assess clients' mental health needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists and PCPs, to provide comprehensive care.
- Complete risk assessments and provide crisis intervention support as needed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Stay informed about current research and best practices in the field of behavioral health with communities of color.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or a related field.
- Valid Oregon associate license to deliver mental health care.
Culturally-Specific Skills Desired:
- Knowledge and ability to serve Black/African and/or Latino populations from a racial trauma lens.
- Willingness to work with clients who ascribe to religious/spiritual beliefs as protective factors.
